This Privacy Policy explains how iTunes2Spotify ("we," "our," or "us") handles your information when you use our service. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your information while providing our playlist conversion service.

2.1 Essential Information

• Basic account information (email address) for authentication purposes
• Spotify OAuth tokens (stored encrypted, used to create playlists in your account)
• iTunes XML library data (temporarily processed during conversion, deleted immediately after)
• Payment information (processed by Stripe — we never see your card numbers)

2.2 Future Data Collection

We reserve the right to collect additional information in the future, including but not limited to:

• Device information
• IP addresses and location data
• Usage data and analytics
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies

If we implement any of these data collection practices, this privacy policy will be updated accordingly.

We use your information solely for:

• Providing and maintaining our playlist conversion service
• Processing playlist conversions
• Authenticating with Spotify on your behalf
• Account management and subscription billing

Your iTunes XML library data is processed server-side and deleted immediately after your conversion job starts. We do not permanently store your playlist or track data. Spotify tokens are stored securely in our database for the duration of your account. Account data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile page.

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties. We may only share information:

• With Supabase (our database provider) to store account and job data
• With Stripe to process payments
• With Spotify as necessary to create playlists in your account
• When required by law or valid legal process

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information. Spotify tokens are stored encrypted. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Due to the temporary nature of our data processing:

• We do not maintain permanent copies of your iTunes library or conversion history
• We cannot provide access to historical conversion data
• You may delete your account and all associated data from your profile page at any time

We use session cookies for authentication. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from children under 13.

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the service after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
